Shared Wallets
No more arguing about money! 🤪 Shared Wallets make it easy to track expenses together and always know who paid for what and how much you've spent as a group. They're perfect for roommates 👭, couples 💑, families 👪, or anyone managing shared finances.
A shared wallet is a paid feature, thus, it is available for subscribers of the Plus or Premium plan.
How to share a wallet? 👛
- Open the Accounts Overview and select the cash wallet you want to share.
- Open the wallet and tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Invite People.
- Enter the email address of the person you'd like to invite.
- Once they accept the invitation in the Spendee app or via email, you're all set to start tracking your expenses together! 🎉

What is the difference between an owner and a guest in a shared wallet? 🤔
Both the owner and guests can use the shared wallet just like any other wallet; they can add, edit, or delete any transaction, regardless of who created it. The main difference is that the shared wallet always uses the owner's categories, and only the owner can create, edit, or delete those categories.
Do all members of a shared wallet need a Plus or Premium subscription? 👀
No. Only the owner of the shared wallet needs a Spendee Plus or Premium subscription. All invited guests can use the Free version of the app.
Can I share bank account wallets? 💸
Not yet. At the moment, bank account wallets can't be shared. This feature is on our wishlist, and we're considering adding it in the future.
Can budgets be shared within a shared wallet? 💰
Not at the moment. While every member can create the same budget in a shared wallet and all transactions from the shared wallet will be included, each budget belongs to the individual user and has its own settings. Please also note that Free users can still create only one budget, even if they're invited to a shared wallet. To create multiple budgets, you'll need a Plus subscription.
