Transfers

What are transfers? πŸ€”

In general, transfers enable you to track movements between your own wallets and/or bank accounts in Spendee. πŸ™ŒπŸΌ Transfers can be used when you withdraw money from a bank account and pay for something in cash, when you need to send money from your checking account to a savings account or for labeling transactions that you send among shared wallets. πŸ™‹πŸΌ

How do Transfers work in Spendee? πŸ‘€

Transfers are excluded from expense and income categories, thus they are not included in overall expense or income reports. πŸ“ŠThey are, however, counted in the Cash Flow! πŸ’Έ When you want to input a transfer transaction, you always have to switch the transaction type to transfer first. Then you are able to choose the incoming and outgoing destination of the transfer. πŸš€

How to add Transfers? 🧐

To add a transaction as a Transfer, tap on the green β€œplus” sign per usual. Instead of choosing a category, switch the type of transaction from β€œExpense” to β€œTransfer” at the top of the dialog. Then include the amount and the incoming and outgoing wallets. You can also select the β€œOut of Spendee” destination, if necessary. Add more details to your transfer transaction such as dates, notes, label, and repetition. ✌🏼

If you link a transfer with an incorrect transaction or you simply want to edit/delete it, you've to change it back to an income/expense category (break the transfer) and then you can link it again. πŸŽ‰
