What are transfers?
In general, Transfers enable you to track movements between your own wallets and/or bank accounts in Spendee. Transfers can be used when you withdraw money from a bank account and pay for something in cash. They can also be used when you need to send money from your checking account to a savings account. Labeling transactions that you send among shared wallets can be another use of this feature.
How do Transfers work in Spendee?
Transfers are excluded from Expense and Income categories, thus they are not included in overall Expense or Income reports. So when you want to input a Transfer transaction, you always have to switch the transaction type to Transfer first. Then you are able to choose the incoming and outgoing destination of the Transfer.
How to add Transfers?
To add a transaction as a Transfer, tap on the green “plus” sign as usual. Instead of choosing a category, switch the type of transaction from “Expense” to “Transfer” at the top of the dialog. Then include the amount and the incoming and outgoing wallets. You can also select the “Out of Spendee” destination, if necessary. Add more details to your Transfer transaction such as date, note or #hashtag, and repetition.
