How to add transactions?

In Spendee you can add your transactions in two ways. There is the modern, automatic way when you connect your bank account and then every time you pay by card or you receive money to your bank account, the transaction will import and get categorized in Spendee automatically.

Adding transactions automatically

Connecting a bank account is a Premium feature, however, it is definitely worth it, if you are not "adding every transaction manually" kind of person. We offer a 7-day free trial, that we definitely recommending to try. You can cancel it during the first 7 days with no charges. Please find more information about how to connect bank account here.

Adding transactions manually

Or you can also use the good old way of adding your transactions manually. In this case, we recommend adding your transaction right after it occurs so you won’t forget about any of your expenses. To add your first transaction, click on the green Plus button.

To add a transaction manually, you have to include mandatory details such as amount and category. Apart from that, you can include additional details such as date, note or hashtag, location or attach a picture. We recommend adding as much data as possible in order for you to have a deeper understanding of your transactions.

You can also set a transaction to be added repetitively. This function is especially worth it for monthly or weekly payments such as mortgage, fees, insurance, bills and so on.

Adding transactions through widget (on Android)

When you start using Spendee on a regular basis, your transactions will start repeating. You will probably have transactions for Lunch, Transportation or Health & Fitness few times a week. To make inputting those frequent transactions easier and faster for you, we created a Template widget for Android.
